Биография

Детство и юность

Роберт Циммерман родился 24 мая 1941 г. в городке Дулут (штат Миннесота), в семье мелкого торговца. Родители музыканта активно участвовали в жизни местной еврейской общины. Его предки приехали в Америку из Восточной Европы и черноморского побережья Турции (через Одессу). В своей автобиографии Дилан упоминает даже о каких-то киргизских корнях.

В 1947 г. отец Роберта заболел полиомиелитом, и семья переехала в соседний город Хиббинг. Роберт в детстве много слушал музыкальные передачи c записями блюзов.
