Polyrhythms : 2 over 3 in Metal Patterns
2 442 просмотра
This is about how practicing 2 over 3 polyrhythm and apply to Metal patterns.
The first step is playing right hand on cymbal in eighth notes, and snare/kick in eighth triplets.
Second step is adding the left foot on the kick to create Patterns.
This polyrhythm is a kind of illusion but can be pushed further with "Sound grouping". Alternating snare and kick. Here we try to use different grouping for the 12 eighth triplets notes in 4/4, then double the kick line.
